Premieres of HTC Desire 12s with 5.7-inch display, Snapdragon 435
To our surprise, HTC just released a new phone announcement-the Desire 12s follows the same U12 Life design language, although the official website says nothing about glass, so we assume that it uses a combination of glossy and matte plastic.
The front is occupied by a HD+ (720x 1440px) 5.7-inch display with a 18:9 aspect ratio. There is no trick and the renderers judge, the side bezels are really thin, while the upper and lower bezels are decent for an entry level telephone.
A Snapdragon 435 ticks under the hood and is available in both cases with either 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of storage or 4GB/64 GB of microSD card slot. On the back, we find a camera setup that looks like a dual camera, but in fact it’s a 13MP unit with a f/2.0 aperture and a LED flash, while the front one is 13MP but the lens is f/2.2. The reader of fingerprints is on the back.
The Desire 12s is powered by a battery of 3,075 mAh without a quick charge. Android 8.1 Oreo runs out of the Sense UI box at the top of HTC. It’s available in Black, Silver, and Red in Taiwan for TWD 5,990 ($ 195) for the 3GB/32 GB version, while the 4GB/64 GB units are available for TWD 6,990 ($ 225). No word when the phone is going to make it outside Taiwan.
